Night of Rebirth

the daylight falls beyond the ground,
off to brighten other days,
the moon sings its silent song,
as the golden light begins to fade,
a wave of silver, followed by blue,
then dipped in black, with a blood red hue,
and then they descend, with their feet running bare,
they take to the night, the wind in their hair,
sprinting through leaves, through water, through earth,
their smiles aglow, for the night of rebirth,
no one may see, none may ever know,
who they may be, where they might go,
this world isn't theirs, not sure any world is,
its truly not fair, they were not prepared for this,
for a planet slowly drained of its compassion and worth,
a world in desperate need, for a night of rebirth.

A Price Being Paid

I have heard tales
of sadder days
darker times
different ways
been told that we've come so much further in life,
that we no longer suffer the pains of ancient times,
but what about pains that have sprouted anew,
pains that are no different to me or to you,
wounds that won't heal, lives forever lost,
just so things can change
once more
but at what cost?

I disagree I don't think poetry can be goth, i think goth is just a label poetry can be dark but hen it is there is truth to the darkness not.... goth-y

just before you let go,

as space between us grows,
as I get closer to the ground,
I made myself believe,
that you would always be around,

but then my eyes open,
i see light through a pale white sheathe,
struggling to move or blink,
pondering how I can't breathe,

back home in my bed,
mom says to 'sleep',
you haven't called yet,
but I can't even weep,

I took my first steps,
all on my own,
still you're not there,
and I should have known,

I come to your house,
tap on the screen,
nobody's home?,
hard to believe,

slip around back,
those days at the pool,
thinking of love,
instead I find you,

and little miss living,
a beating heart in her chest,
cold flames of hatred,
burn through my breast,

how could you pick her?,
when this is all your fault!,
you couldn't even save me!,
that night you let me fall.

my heart may not be beating but that doesnt mean i cant love

I have fallen,
do a place far below,
to a miniscule world,
that won't let me go,

in this world,
that i forever must stay,
we are given no chances,
we just waste away,

i pray you never fall,
i hope you shall stay afloat,
for even though i failed,
for you i shall hope.

these are really good. i didnt read all of hem, but the ones i did are great!!!

yeah. im not really one who is good at writing poetry, any time i try, i dont do to well, but the one poem i have up is the only one that worked for me, plus, i had to write a good one for school.

~Today I Shall Smile~

I've often thought of dying,
I've considered letting go,
I pictured myself flying,
as the world stays down below,

death can change a person,
it makes things so very clear,
you expect you'll feel sunken,
but instead you're light as air,

the world no longer scares you,
other people hold no cards,
and there's so much left to do,
life when dead is not that hard,

so as I climb the steps,
take my seat somewhere with sun,
i think of possibilities,
for the day that's yet to come,

and in the set stone of my face,
that before now has been unchanged,
I feel a new sensation,
it's wonderful and strange,

and today i shall do something,
that i've not done for a while,
on this day of endless wonder,
Today I Shall Smile.
