Generation Dead - The Poem

Daniel Waters is an author
his poetry is deep
the whole damn story
makes you NEED to weep

Even though the characters
aren't all very nice
there is an equal balance
of sugar and of spice

Those people who say deadheads
and other spiteful names
aren't just really stupid
playing malecint games

So heres a poem
that stands out from the rest
trust all us 'zombies'
put us to the TEST

I've Never Been Undead Before by, Sam N

Why am I alive?
I shouldn’t be breathing
I got shot in the chest
And no one is leaving

I remember it clearly
I was drifting away
Trying to tell phoebe
What I always meant to say

I thought that I said it
But I might have been wrong.
What’s going on?
Why aren’t I gone?

Wait, I’m not breathing.
But my skin has gone cold
My heart isn’t beating
What am I not being told

I put my hand on my body
And it comes up red.
I was shot and I’m here,
I must be undead.

Death can last forever
I thought about death
but this, never

I feel pain
And I open my eyes
And to my shock
Was a big surprise

People are around
My heart is not beating
I inhale a shocked breath
To see my friends retreating

I am alone
And I am sad
My friends weren't like this
Now i'm mad

I find a friend
She is a DB
But she is so quiet
Why did this have to happen to me?

It seems to me that God above

I had a heart once warm and true
But it's been given from me to you

If you're not in Heaven on Judgment day

I'll go to Hell to be with you

thats very nice...it gives you something to think about...like what you mean... im not really getting it it sounds really nice... i just dont get it... sorry *rambling nervously*

it's suppose to mean how the world changes,how people change,and how different beings can be friends even though they can take a different form,shape,color ,etc...
