Three Stages

okay. this is a new story im working on that i want to post on quizilla, but am not near done, and want to share what i have now.

here's a little explanation about this story:
there will be three parts, one for each "stage." each part is represented by/inspired by a different song.
each part/stage will be color-coded, since each stage wont be posted in full.
these are, what i think of as, the three stages of heartbreak

stage 1 - love {song: Can't Stand It by Never Shout Never}
stage 2 - heartbreak/end of relationship {song: Teenage Heartbreak by Eleventyseven}
stage 3 - moving on {song: Aftermath by Adam Lambert}

STAGE 1 ~ CAN'T STAND IT

Here we are, my boyfriend and I, sitting on a blanket by the lake two towns away from our town. It's our six-month anniversary. We celebrated with a romantic picnic which we just finished. The sun is about to set as Caleb puts his arm around me and I rest my head on his shoulder.

"Amanda, I love you," he says as he kisses my head. This is the first time he tells me this.

My heart races as I respond, "I love you, too." And I really do love him. Even though he's only my second boyfriend, I know it's true. I've never felt this way before. Every time I see him, my heart jumps. Caleb is the most amazing person I know. I'm lost in these thoughts when Caleb lifts my chin to pull me into the most passionate kiss we've ever shared.

He pulls away from the kiss saying, "I really mean it, Amanda. I love you. I wouldn't say it if it weren't true."

"Neither would I," I say as I lean in for another long kiss. The kisses we share are sweet and innocent, not rough or lustful. I take this as a sign that Caleb's words are true and he does love me and doesn't just want me for sex, like most teenage guys. "This moment is so perfect, I don't want it to end."

"It doesn't have to, at least not right now." We just sit there in silence, occaisionally stealing kisses until it starts to get dark. We walk to Ca;eb's car and head to my house.

This is sweet, really sweet to read. It's nice that you focus on love here rather than lust. Especially since you've listed what's coming. Only one thing, probably a typo: "mooment" I think should be "moment" :]

I'd love to see the last two parts...it'll be interesting to find out what happens.

Later that night, as I lie in bed, I think about all my wonderful memories with Caleb. I turn on my bedside light to admire the charm bracelet he gave me after our first month together. For each month, he gives me a new charm to symbolize something major that happened during that month. The first was a pair of lips, for our first kiss. My newest charm is a heart for the first time we told each other of our love. I guess Caleb had planned to tell me he loves me tonight.

sorry this part was short, but the next part after this isn't at a good ending point, so this is all you get for now! i hope you like it!!

The next morning I wake up to a text from Caleb containing a picture of a teddy bear holding a dozen roses. A few minutes later, as I walk down the stairs, I hear my dog scratching to get out. I go to the back door to let her out and see on my patio the same bear and roses as in the picture. I immediately call Caleb to thank him about a million times. As it rings, I hear the ringtone I set on his phone for when I call comong from the yard. I go out to investigate by following the music to the swingset off to the side of my yard where I see Caleb sitting. He's on the swing that fits two and, without saying a word, I join him.

"Well this is certainly a surprise," I say after a few minutes of silence.

"I know. That was the point. You look so cute in the morning." I blush at this and an glad I decided to wear cute pajamas instead of my usual t-shirt and men's shorts I wear on summer nights.

"Why are you here? Don't get me wrong; I love that you are," I say right before I give him a kiss.

"I just thought that with school starting next week, this would be my last chance to to this. I've been wanting to all summer."

"Aww. You are too sweet. Let's go inside," I say getting up from the swing and pulling on his hand to get him to follow.

"You go ahead and put those flowers in some water. I'll be right in but I just have to get something out of my car."
