"You need to fill up?" i said. I had read her mind and i didnt hurt as much. i think i was getting better. we all pulled into a gas station near bye and filled up. "We can check in there," i said pointing at a near bye motel. "and just stay for a few hours. I came off as confident and serious but i was terrified inside.

I nodded, scanning the area for anything suspicious that could be any sort of threat. "We can't stay all night." I added, looking at a man checking us out. It wasn't a creepy stare, more lustful than anything.
