Ode to Tak

okay. i know ive said im not good at writing poetry, but this was a school assignment. we are studying poetry in my lit class and we have to write a poem inspired by our favorite book. so of course i chose Gen Dead. i decided to make it in Karen's POV about Tak. hope you like it!!


I see him standing near the shed,
Tak, my love, of the walking dead.
Although we’re zombies, we do not rot.
Does he see me? I know not.

To him I hardly even exist.
I wish to hold him, but must resist.
I’d love to stroke his mangled face,
But I need to hold back, to keep my place.

For him I feel immense love,
Though he isn’t gentle, like a dove.
With his attitude so fierce,
Through my soul, his stare does pierce.

I wish he knew just how I feel,
For that would make this all seem real.
This secret of mine has been kept,
And for this reason I have wept.

That was good. I would never have thought to put it in Karen's POV.
In my english class we just had a Holoc aust unit. And today we watched real footage so now I'm all depressed.

aw thanks. yeah, i dont know why i decided to write about tak in karen's POV. mean there are so many other things i could think of to write about from the book. the first stanza just came to me when my teacher was reading The Raven out loud, and i finished it in histioy when we were watching a movie.

I can write like a little poetry, but it takes a lot to inspire me enough to write about it. I am going to stick to stories for now, but I still have to write part 4.

i generally can never write poetry. i dont know how i wote this. ive been suck on my Gen Dead fanfiction. havent even picked it up in a while. dont know where to go with it yet.

I was trying to get my friend to laugh because she was pissed so I was like
O R G and I said it in slow motion. She couldn't help but laugh.

that "oh, thats nice" was supposed to be sarcastic. thats what i hate about talking online, no one can tell when im being sarcastic, but sometimes thats a good thing.

ok. good. i am sarcastic quite often and i hate t when ppl dont know i am and i try had to be. my mom always yels at me for being sarcastic and i think, "im a sarcastic b****, its who i am" but i never say it outloud cuz she doesnt know i curse, so that would be bad.
